This is a very special year for us, our 10th Anniversary year. Target TB has been stopping vulnerable people in Africa and Asia dying from TB for a decade. But the sheer enormity of the TB epidemic worldwide means there is much, much more to do.

Volunteer Community Fundraisers - UK wide

(6 months minimum commitment)

The role:

To support the two fundraisers by developing relationships with like-minded individuals in your area and create a local, informal, Target TB fundraising group. To be the primary point of contact for other people willing to fundraise, to co-ordinate tasks and provide support in the planning and running of local fundraising activities. To be responsible for all funds raised, ensuring that they are accurately accounted for and transferred to Target TB safely.

Volunteer Collection Box Coordinator at Target TB - East Sussex

(1 year minimum commitment)

The role:

To support the two fundraisers by developing relationships with local retailers and businesses, pubs, cafes etc: enabling the placement of collection boxes and other promotional materials in Brighton and/or the wider Sussex area. Monitoring and emptying boxes and maintaining regular contact with your collection box holders.

Volunteer Photo Exhibition Coordinator at Target TB - East Sussex

(6 months minimum commitment)

The role:

To support the two fundraisers by developing relationships with local and national display spaces to secure the placement of our photographic exhibition. Coordinate all aspects of delivering the exhibition as the primary point of contact. (Dependant on skills, this role may grow to include cataloguing and maintaining a database of all Target TB photographs and videos).

Communications Volunteer at Target TB - East Sussex

(6 months minimum commitment)

The role:

This role is generally office based but is forward facing to the general public and media professionals so you will need to be confident in speaking about Target TB and its work. Target TB relies on a variety of funding sources to help reach a world free from TB – it needs to increase awareness of TB and Target TB amongst the local, national (and to a lesser extent, international) communit(ies) to be able to build support in future. Your primary role will be to increase our presence in both offline and online media in the UK.

Bite sized volunteering

Can't commit to a regular volunteer role but still want to help, no matter where you are? 

We've got a whole raft of small actions that you could do, from home, to help us in our lifesaving work! Anything from 1 minute to an hour or so could really make a difference.

Here are some examples:

Keep our website fresh and accurate - click around our entire website once a month and let us know about errors, broken links and other issues; about an hour a month

Spread awareness of our cause and events with posters – pre-designed posters that can be freely downloaded and circulated on notice boards; 5 or so minutes.
