We stop vulnerable people in Africa and Asia dying from TB by improving access to information, treatment and care and support.

Our vision is a world free from TB and you can help us achieve it. We couldn't tackle the global problem of TB without the people who support us. Fundraising for Target TB with your faith group, community club or school is a great way to have fun while making a difference at the same time. Got an idea? Just look at what you can achieve as group! The Soroptimist International club in Wakefield took on the challenge and raised £1,300 by cycling to Africa. They took a shortcut though – they did it from their local health club! Between them they cycled a combined distance further than Wakefield to Lusaka on spin cycles. This great effort allowed us to buy bicycles for community volunteers in Zambia, who provide home-based care and support for people with TB. They visit patients up to 3 times a week to ensure adherence to treatment, to locate new cases of TB and to give practical and emotional support to people who are often isolated, ill and scared. With a bicycle, visiting one patient 3 times a week is much easier and allows the volunteer to spend more time with the patient providing that essential support.
